New York City graffiti got its start in the late 60s with , a graphic representation of a person’s personal . Graffiti became a very serious problem during this period because NYC had just to substitute its old subway cars with new air conditioned models. The mayor was furious. For some people graffiti is an act of rebellion corruption and injustice while others it as a creative art form. Graffiti artists feel that they the city more attractive painting all those blank, ugly walls. Perhaps the money spent graffiti clean up should be invested youth education programs that provide an for their artistic creativity. From those city officials who consider graffiti nothing more than vandalism we can’t any solutions.
