Money
Many workers are not happy with the amount of money they
receive in their pay checks. They feel that they deserve higher wages for the work they do.
These same workers often complain that managers get a bigger salary than they should.
It's true that in a typical company the people in upper management con easily take home
in one month the equivalent of the annual income of the average employee
in the same firm. Directors say these high salaries are justified because experienced,
qualified people are hard to find; work longer hours than the rest of
the staff and produce huge benefits for the company. They argue that, the same as
in sports and show business, you pay a high price for talent. So, the message
is clear. If you want to earn more money you have
to be prepared to take on more responsibility and work more
hours.
