The FAT System is one of numerous methods available nowadays to help us get a handle on the ever increasing amount of information that we have to deal with every day. We have three choices when receiving information: file, act or toss. There's no excuse for having a desk full of papers or an inbox full of messages. Clutter is nothing more than postponed decisions. If the information is useful but doesn't require any action you should file it. But if you have to save it under miscellaneous then it probably should be trashed Eighty percent of what we save we never end up using. An FYI message is nothing more than that and should be eliminated after reading. If you find it hard to use the delete key you should ask yourself this question, "What's the worst thing that could happen to me if I don't have this information?"
