I'm afraid I can't speak German but I wanted to welcome you to the forum. I hope one of the German speakers will respond to your message soon. Wink

Hey, I'm showing my German friend the site, and I see you need someone to correct your post. He's going to correct it here:

Ich habe das "Hier" kleingeschreiben und hab in der zweiten zeile die Reihenfolge der Woerter geaendert weil diese ein bisschen durcheinander war. Ansonsten war das gar nicht so schlecht - du kannst die anderen Verbesserungen ja im Text sehen. Simon

ElAmericano, thank you and your friend!

I had a lot of exams this week, so I failed to check this forum in time.

In the future I'll try to do a better job in correcting the german posts! Wink

Who knows the difference between 'in time' and 'on time'? Wink

mmmmm....

Maybe you use on time, like: finishing something "on time". And in time...

On time refers to the exact scheduled, arranged or agreed time.
In time means before the event or activity begins. That's why it is much more important to be in time than to be on time.

You schedule a meeting for 8 o'clock in the morning. Two people arrive at 7.45. Two people arrive at 8. Two people arrive at 8.10 and two people arrive at 8.20.

You start the meeting at 8.15.

Two people were early.
Two people were on time.
Four people arrived late.
Six people arrived in time for the meeting.
Two people arrived late for the meeting.
