Can somebody tell me why every time I tried to use a font color, appeared when I was done adding a color and clicked somewhere else. It happened when I clicked on "preview" as well. There's just no way to avoid it. Why? It's quite inconvenient. I'm using a Mac. Can it be the reason?

Maybe it'll be easier to understand with an example.

Just like that!

You're using the word "color" more than once in the code. Open this message with the edit function and check the code for the words I have written below.

bold
red
blue
italic
underlined
tiny
small
normal
large

I believe I didn't click twice on "Font Colour". I have no problem using other functions.

LaiLai seems to have a knack for html tags. Can LaiLai tell me why this problem happens? Maybe it's just brown]Safari that does it. I have the same problem in another forum too.

To Flower:

"Have you a problem..." is an old-fashioned way of saying "Do you have a problem..."

Hello gloria_taipei,

What about typing the code instead of clicking the button?

word
word
word
word
word
word
word
word
word
word
word
word
word
word

Best wishes,

Gabi

Very funny, Gabi!

I don't type fast so I'll just use other functions. Sad

Hello, I have very little time lately, that's why I hardly post... but,
as you so nicelyrequest my advice... ,let me guess...

let's start considering that many tags include the starting tag and the ending tag.

It's not the starting a colour what makes your trouble, but the ending a colour.

Your example says something like (I have altered the tags so they show):
[ color=darkred ] [ color=darkred ]Maybe it'll be easier to understand with an[ /color ] example. [ /color ]

So you are "nesting" two colour tags and the final endings are not behaving as you expect... you expect them to behave as brackets behave in maths, but the fact is that the fist ending tag DOES ends both startings.

So DON'T nest similar tags.

It's three o'clock in the morning, Spanish time; I'll check this explanation after I get some sleep, just in case it's messy due to my lack of sleep.

Very nice of you noticing I control html; it shows you read my posts.

Thank you, LaiLai, for answering my request. My guess is that it's my Mac system and Safari that makes the problem. If it can't be solved, I'll just type the codes as Gabi suggested.

I noticed that you could edit html tags in Nobuko's posts. Smile
