Hi all!
I wrote this article and I'd like to share it with you all for the idea and comments. Any corrections regarding the usage of words, grammar, logics, or anything else are welcome.

Laughing is one of the best exercises we can do to keep us healthy. Studies have shown that laughter fortifies the immune system by producing more effective T cells, reducing the level of stress hormones, and increasing the level of health-enhancing hormones like endorphins. The other health benefits of laughter includes reducing food cravings and increasing one’s threshold for pain. A good belly laugh also provides a good workout for the diaphragm, the abdominal muscles, the shoulders, and even the heart, leaving the muscles more relaxed afterwards.
Besides, laughter also shortens the distance between you and other people. Laughing with your family and friends gives you a good opportunity to improve your relationships with them. Laugh heartily and encourage other people to laugh with you. Then you may find that you are helping them to feel at ease, which in turn will make you feel at ease too.
Believing that laughter is the best medicine, Dr. Madan Kataria, an Indian physician from Mumbai, started a laughter club with 5 people in 1995. This very first laughter club in the world was Dr. Kataria’s experiment. It evolved from telling jokes and funny stories to simply laughing without relying on jokes, humor, comedy or anything else because of the scientifically proven fact that the body cannot tell a fake laughter from a genuine one. Therefore, the benefits remain the same. Eventually Dr. Kataria combined yogic breathing with unconditional laughter, which was the origin of Laughter Yoga.
Now Laughter Yoga has spread across the whole world and benefitted people of all ages, abilities and all walks of life, including cancer patients, prisoners, and people with physical and mental disabilities. There is a laughter club in Taiwan as well. You can visit www.laughter-yoga.org.tw for more information. Have fun and don’t forget to laugh!
