The
government have spoken out in defence of the most controversial measures to be taken
in their latest programme to control the problems of travelling in the
city centre. As you already know, their intention is to encourage the use of
public transport.
Here's
what they plan to do:
1.
Extra
trams will operate during the rush hour and the tube
will run additional trains.
2.
Lorry
drivers that want to use the ringroad and roundabouts must obtain the appropriate
driving licence and be certain to attach the blue coloured sticker to either the
windscreen
or licence number plate of their vehicles.
3.
The
number of transport cafes, petrol
stations and car parks will be reduced.
